Dave's Equipment Center is owned and operated by Skip and Joan Carlson. Years ago Skip was a shop teacher at the local high school and purchased parts for his students from the original "Dave". That grew into a part time job for Skip after school working for Dave. He then spent many years in the labor force as a welder and fabricator. When Dave was ready to retire he sold the business to Skip. The name of the business was never changed. Because of this, Skip is now known as "Dave" to many in this region.
Skip's wife; Joan, handles most of the behind the scenes work. You will also find her behind the counter selling parts on most days.
The building may be old, but the technology and knowledge inside is anything but out dated. They manage to service your brand new cutting edge Ferris Commercial Mower just as skillfully and carefully as that old Wheelhorse Tractor that your Dad operated for 20 years, before he handed it down to you. In fact one very important part of our operation is our deep knowledge and amazing stock in the old Wheelhorse Equipment. Our basement is full of the old style tractors. If a part is discontinued, chances are we can find a used one in the basement. If it is still available new, we are likely to have at least one in stock, or we can have it here in a few short days.
The same holds true for Ariens Snowblowers. So whether you need service or parts for your 1 year old equipment, or your 30 year old tractor, we can help.
Dave's Equipment Center carries the fast moving parts such as belts, blades, shear pins, spark plugs and carburetor parts for most brands of equipment. If it is a brand of equipment we sell, our stock is much deeper. Please help us help you and have your model and serial number when looking for parts.
If you have a flat tire, dull blades, dirty carburetor or a dead starter, drop it off. We try to turn that type service around in a day or two.
Check out our Rental Equipment page to see what is available in our Rental Fleet.
We take trade ins, so we usually have a decent line up of used equipment. Take a look at the Used Equipment page and see what is available.
We are working hard to build up our used parts inventory. Keep checking it out. If you don't see what you need, give us a call. We will try to track down what you are looking for.
